“It all went to s***”- MJF blames 3-time WWE champion for ruining their feud

MJF fired a shot at a former WWE champion. He blamed him for ruining their feud years ago.

MJF and Adam Cole were involved in a tag team in 2023. This storyline was the best thing going in AEW at the time and the fans were heavily invested in them. At AEW Grand Slam 2023, Cole injured his ankle and was ruled out of action. At Worlds End 2023, Cole betrayed MJF and aligned with The Undisputed Kingdom. However, AEW couldn’t continue with this feud due to Cole’s injury. Therefore, the feud and storyline lost all momentum when they resumed it several months later. This culminated in just one singles match at Worlds End 2024.

During a recent appearance on Mostly Sports with Mark Titus and Brandon Walker, Maxwell Jacob Friedman blamed Adam Cole for their lacklustre feud because the latter got injured and betrayed him.

“The Adam Cole thing was on an even playing field with the CM Punk situation, but then it all went to s*** because Adam Cole got injured and betrayed me like a piece of s***.”

MJF fired some shots at CM Punk

One of of the most memorable CM Punk feuds in AEW was against MJF. The two men were on fire on the mic and their matches were exceptional. They competed in two singles match and are tied 1-1.

During a recent interview with Compas on the Beat, Maxwell Jacob Friedman took some shots at CM Punk by saying he would like to beat him up just for fun. He also claimed that Punk’s win in the Dog Collar match was only because Wardlow betrayed him.

“Who could possibly give a sh*t. It’s about me right now. F*ck him. It’s always about me. I’d love to beat the sh*t out of him. Just for shi*s and gigs. I would love to literally be put in a situation where I could bash his stupid f*cking face in again. He had a fluke victory over me in the dog collar match because of that schmuck Wardlow. The only time I lose, somebody cheats. I had CM Punk’s number, I beat him twice in Chicago.” (H/T Fightful)

Maxwell’s feud against CM Punk elevated his career to another level.
