Triple H recently commented on some prevalent criticism about him and WWE. Over the last few years, the Stamford-based promotion has evolved significantly when it comes to maintaining kayfabe and presentation. The WWE: Unreal series on Netflix has provided a lot of backstage detail regarding how the shows are booked and run that had been kept from fans for decades.

This prompted criticism from several veterans of the business, who believed that this created problems with the suspension of disbelief that fans require to fully enjoy the matches and storylines.

Speaking on Busted Open, Triple H talked about Unreal. He stated:

“It’s a funny thing now, though, because of the business, because the paradigm has shifted to some degree. Everybody kind of knows what it is. We’ve opened that wide open with WWE Unreal.”

He further responded to the aforementioned criticism by implying that the veterans who were complaining were hypocrites, considering their podcasts also did the same thing as Unreal.

“It does make me laugh, though, when I see the old-timers who are legends in our business talking about, ‘They give away too much, and they tell people the insider stuff too much.’ Meanwhile, they’re on a podcast where they do exactly that every single day, and they have been doing it for years. But it’s okay when they do it? Right?”

Triple H recently praised Raquel Rodriguez

Raquel Rodriguez bagged her first singles title in WWE, picking up a massive win on the July 27 edition of RAW.

The Judgment Day member took down Sol Ruca, earning the Women’s Intercontinental Title after a fight that lasted just over 10 minutes. Following the win, Triple H complimented the new champion on X, stating:

“No challenge too big, no setback too great. Through blood, sweat, and tears, Raquel Rodriguez is the NEW @WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.”

As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for Raquel Rodriguez down the line in WWE as the Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
