“It’s the public’s verdict”: Megyn Kelly unloads on Meghan Markle whereas reacting to seemingly low turnout at her Geneva speech

Conservative podcaster Megyn Kelly took aim at Meghan Markle for a seemingly low turnout at her recent speech in Geneva. On Sunday, the Duchess of Sussex attended the inauguration of the Lost Screen Memorial, an art installation honoring children who lost their lives due to cyberbullying. The memorial was created by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell Philanthropies and will remain on display through May 22.

During the inauguration, Meghan Markle delivered a speech about the harmful effects of social media on children. Megyn Kelly, a known critic of the Suits alum, reacted to the speech on her Tuesday podcast. Kelly pointed out that, before delivering a speech about social media, Meghan Markle had posted a photo of herself on Instagram featuring her daughter, Lilibet, while surrounded by “designer clothing.”

The former Fox News host was joined by her husband, Doug Brunt. Kelly showed him the crowd present during Meghan Markle’s speech. The podcaster said that “nobody is on the side” and added that although ropes had been set up to protect the Duchess from the crowd, hardly anyone showed up. She pointed to a woman in the background who appeared to be putting on her jacket and stretching.

Megyn Kelly took a swipe at the Duchess of Sussex, saying she had seen a larger crowd gathered around a man blowing bubbles in Central Park. Zooming into the video of Meghan delivering a speech in Geneva, Kelly commented:

“Here’s jacket lady. Look at her. She looks riveted, doesn’t she? She’s like, ‘I’m near a princess.’ No, she couldn’t care less. She’s not interested. And it’s the public’s verdict on we don’t give a sh*t about you. Shut up and go live your life, and stop bothering us with your fake profundities and fake title.”

Kelly’s husband, Brunt, also weighed in and remarked that the Duchess has “lost even the train wreck appeal.” He added that the As Ever founder already had multiple train wrecks and therefore “even that’s not interesting from her anymore.” Megyn Kelly concluded, saying:

“Look at her. Like, no one cares. It’s like a… It’s smattering. You know how they say a smattering of applause. This is a smattering of audience members. It’s officially over.”
