J6 Patriot Josh Pruitt Releases Powerful New Book: “Trumped Up” – A Raw Account of January sixth, Prison, and Redemption | The Gateway Pundit

By Guest Contributor Daniel Goodwyn

Josh Pruitt is no stranger to hardship. A proud patriot, Josh stood firm in his convictions on January 6, 2021, and paid dearly for it—nearly three years in one of the most dangerous federal prisons in America. But now, he’s taking his story into his own hands with the release of his brand-new book, “Trumped Up: My Journey Through America: January 6th | Prison | Pardon | Redemption.

Josh’s brutally honest and eye-opening memoir gives readers an unfiltered look at what the Biden regime doesn’t want you to know. From the moment he entered the Capitol on January 6th to the night he was released from FCI—a violent, gang-infested prison with no other J6ers around—Josh shares every detail.

“I sat in prison at FCI, which is one of the most dangerous federal prisons and is infested with gangs. Only two prisons hold MS-13. We were one of them,” Josh told The Gateway Pundit in a previous interview. “There were people being murdered, stabbed, and raped where I was, and I had to always watch my back.”

Josh was sentenced to 55 months for “obstruction of an official proceeding,” and spent his time surviving abuse, isolation, and the trauma that came with being a political prisoner in Joe Biden’s America. Thanks to President Donald J. Trump, Josh was fully pardoned and released on January 21st. Since then, he has been rebuilding his life from the ground up—with nothing but the shirt on his back.

In Trumped Up, Josh lays it all out. The pain, the loss, the betrayal, and the hope. He doesn’t hold back—and his story stands as a testament to resilience, patriotism, and God’s grace.

But it hasn’t been easy. Since his release, Josh relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina, to be surrounded by conservative values and like-minded patriots. Then came more challenges—his bicep tore, requiring surgery and putting him in a sling for 6 to 8 weeks. On top of that, he’s had no contact with his children due to legal and personal complications.

Josh is still in the fight. He’s been doing podcasts and speaking engagements to share the truth of what really happened on January 6th and what the federal government did to him and so many others. And now, Trumped Up gives readers the full picture—directly from a man who lived it.

Josh’s book is also now listed at StopHate.com’s growing library of J6er books, where more brave patriots are telling their stories and exposing the truth about the Deep State’s war on freedom-loving Americans.

Despite the pardon, Josh still faces daily battles. He’s trying to rebuild a life shattered by tyranny, regain basic necessities like food, transportation, and identification, and heal from the trauma he endured. His GiveSendGo fundraiser is still ongoing, and he needs our support.
