Alexander Volkanovski prevailed as the undisputed featherweight champion once again, routing the Diego Lopes threat at UFC 325. ‘The Great’, however, cannot afford to rest on his laurels, as he has been issued a chilling warning by the dangerous Jean Silva.
While Lopes had moments of brilliance in the fight and even had ‘The Great’ hurt at one point, the champion largely dominated the bout, winning four rounds on two of the judges’ scorecards and claiming all five on the other.
Fresh off his win over Arnold Allen, Silva is hoping to steal the next title shot. While Volkanovski has previously shown interest in defending the title against the undefeated Movsar Evloev, ‘Lord’ has a proposition for the featherweight kingpin.
In a recent update on X, the Fighting Nerds standout shared a video of himself calling out Volkanovski with the caption:

“You’re a legend, brother, but I’m coming for everything.”
In the video, Silva can be heard taunting ‘The Great’, daring him to face him unless he is afraid of a dangerous striker. Moreover, Silva touched a sore spot, saying:
“The thing is as follows. I know that Volkanovski is asking for Evloev. I don’t know. He is asking for the guy not to get hurt? Bro, sorry to inform you. If you want to stay without getting hurt, I understand, but if you want to fight a guy who hits hard, I’m your guy. I’m telling you one more thing. I’m going to camp with [Ilia] Topuria to break you. I’m warning you, I’ll go there.”

Volkanovski is a two-time UFC featherweight champion and a two-time lightweight title challenger. He holds notable wins over the likes of Max Holloway and Brian Ortega, among others.
The No.1-ranked pound-for-pound fighter, Islam Makhachev, and the No.2 Topuria are the only fighters to have beaten him in the UFC.
