Jemele Hill called out LSU head coach Lane Kiffin after a university investigation found a Tigers football player responsible for sexual assault and forcible rape.

According to a Title IX report obtained by WAFB, LSU found the player responsible for sexual assault and forcible rape.
The incident reportedly happened Oct. 18, 2025, in an LSU dorm room in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Francis filed a formal Title IX complaint in January.
LSU first suspended the player for one year.
The player appealed the decision. However, the Title IX office upheld the finding.
LSU later changed the punishment. The player was given two years of disciplinary probation without restrictions. This allowed him to return to campus and play football.
The case is now also part of a separate criminal investigation.
Francis spoke publicly about the allegations in September. Thereafter, the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office opened a criminal investigation.
District Attorney Hillar Moore said his office knew the case had already gone through LSU’s campus process. He also said LSU Police and Baton Rouge police had information about the case.
No criminal charges had been announced in the reports reviewed.
The player’s name has not been made public.
Kiffin became LSU’s head coach on Nov. 30, 2025, after leaving Ole Miss to take over the Tigers.
The controversy comes during Kiffin’s first season in Baton Rouge. LSU entered the week 3-1 after opening the season with wins over Clemson and Louisiana Tech, losing to Ole Miss on Sept. 19 and then beating Texas A&M 35-6 on Sept. 26.
The Tigers’ next game is against McNeese State.

Jemele Hill took aim at NFL for fining Kyle Juszczyk over beer-chugging gesture
During San Francisco 49ers game against the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 20, fullback Kyle Juszczyk tilted his head back and pretended to drink after making a big play.
Subsequently, he was fined $14,926 by the NFL.
On Sept. 25, Jemele Hill shared her thoughts about the fine on X.
“The NFL has an official beer sponsor (Bud Light). The hypocrisy is so loud,” Hill tweeted.
According to the NFL’s disciplinary letter, first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the league said:
“Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste.”
Juszczyk has formally appealed the $14,926 fine.
