John Harbaugh makes emotions identified on Odell Beckham Jr. reunion with Giants

Former New York Giants Pro Bowler Odell Beckham Jr. made headlines earlier this month after the Giants hosted Beckham at their East Rutherford, N.J. facility for a workout before the 2026 NFL draft.

Beckham’s workout with the Giants last week sparked rumors of a reunion in the offseason. Giants coach John Harbaugh reflected on New York’s potential reunion with the Super Bowl-winning wide receiver.

“Odell and I are going to talk Tuesday night and kind of see where he is at, see where we’re at, see what he’s thinking, see what we’re thinking now with the roster and the way it looks and see if it makes sense,” Harbaugh said.

“We’re not decided on that yet. He’s not quite decided on that yet. I think we just have to see where we’re at next week.”

The Giants selected Odell Beckham Jr</a>. with the No. 12 pick in the 2014 NFL draft. He played for New York from 2014 to 2018, earning Pro Bowl selections in three consecutive seasons.

Giants coach John Harbaugh addressed the 33-year-old wide receiver’s mentality after not playing in the league since 2024.

“You know, it has to make sense for the Giants. It has to make sense for him. He’s in a different place in his career, for sure,” Harbaugh said. “The thing I love about Odell is right now he’s in such a good place in terms of, you know, his humility. He wants to be part of a team. He wants to contribute. He wants to help the young guys. That’s what he’s talking about doing.

“He still thinks he has some juice, and he looked good in the workout. You still got to be able to play. It’s not going to be the old Odell. It’s going to be a different version, the 2.0 Odell I guess you would say.”

Beckham’s last NFL stint was with the Miami Dolphins in 2024. He played nine games for Miami but didn’t start a game that season.
