A major WWE star shared how he took a move from Kevin Owens and added it to his moveset. Owens has not been in action since his victory over Sami Zayn in an Unsanctioned Match at Elimination Chamber 2025.
Speaking at 2K26 Creator Fest with Macho T, Intercontinental Champion Penta revealed that Kevin Owens was the inspiration behind adding a Package Piledriver to his moveset. The former AEW star added that he told Owens that he was inspired by him and had been watching the veteran for a long time.

“I’ve only told Kevin Owens this. The Package Piledriver that I started doing was inspired by him. I once told him when I first came to WWE. I told him ‘The Package, I did it for you’, because I’ve been watching him for a long time,” he said. [H/T: Fightful]

Owens underwent neck surgery last year due to injury and has not been able to return to the ring yet. He was supposed to face Randy Orton last year at WrestleMania, but had to drop out of the match because of his injury situation.
Joe Hendry was his replacement at The Show of Shows and was quickly defeated by The Viper. Orton won the Men’s Elimination Chamber match and will be challenging Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42 next month in Las Vegas.
Former WWE star calls out Kevin Owens
Wrestling veteran Matt Riddle recently called out Kevin Owens and suggested that he leaked information to wrestling dirt sheets.
Speaking on Rewind Recap Relive, The Original Bro stated that he told Owens about a confrontation he had with Brock Lesnar backstage, and the information was quickly leaked to the wrestling media. Riddle suggested that Owens loved leaking information to dirt sheets about others.
“I went to the locker room and I told Kevin Owens (about the Brock Lesnar confrontation), and then five minutes later, it was on the dirt sheet. So, if you ever wonder where news is going coming from, that guy just loves to spill beans,” Riddle said.
Only time will tell when Owens will be cleared to return to WWE television.
