The next Last Epoch expansion, Orobyss has finally been announced, and while it is currently courting some controversy, there are no doubt fans excited about the reveal. The controversy comes from the fact that while we do know that the expansion will be free, almost certainly, there will be paid DLC in the form of Paradox Classes.
The sad fact is, there’s just not a lot of information about Orobyss quite yet, and making that information about new classes the primary thing to know is really disappointing. There are a few scraps of information out there though, and we’ve put them together here for you.
Everything we know about Last Epoch Orobyss Expansion
Orobyss is going to be the first major Last Epoch expansion, and it’s been confirmed by the developers that this is not a Season. Season 4 will be coming later. Orobyss is more like Diablo 4’s Vessel of Hatred, in that it’s a full season that expands the gameplay and content in a meaningful way.

Perhaps the main reason that there simply isn’t much information about Orobyss, is because it will not be available until after Seasons 4 and 5 have launched. With Season 4 being planned for early 2026, it’s not likely that we’ll see Last Epoch Orobyss until late 2026, or perhaps even into 2027.
Considering that the name of the expansion is Orobyss, it’s almost certainly going to revolve around the mysterious Void entity. It’s a name whispered about and feared in the world of Last Epoch, and so like Vessel of Hatred again, it’s likely that Orobyss itself will be a major part of the upcoming storyline.
Another bit of information is that Last Epoch Orobyss will be free to current owners of the game. They did not give a date, but it’s likely that as long as players pick up the game before the launch of the expansion, they will get Orobyss for free.
Finally, we do know that when Orobyss launches, the PlayStation 5 version of the game will drop the same day, so we have official confirmation of a console release. We just don’t know the exact date yet for the expansion’s launch, but when it does, PS5 owners will be able to jump in on that day.
As 2026 rolls on, we’ll no doubt learn more about the Orobyss expansion, and as we learn more, we’ll also update you here, so there’s no surprises about what the expansion could possibly offer players.
