The NBA announced this week that, for the first time since 2012-13, neither LeBron James nor Steph Curry is the number one seller in the league’s top-selling jerseys chart. Instead, LeBron’s new teammate, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Dončić, has the highest-selling jersey in the league, based on sales from the second half of 2024-25.
It makes sense that Dončić, who was unexpectedly traded from the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 2, would earn additional sales after switching teams. The league revealed that sales at its online store are up 21 percent since the trade deadline, primarily driven by the trade, which also included 10-time All-Star centre/forward Anthony Davis.
A native of Slovenia, Dončić is the first international player to top the list since the NBA began publicizing sales numbers in 2001. Other notable international players on the list include San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (sixth), Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić (10th) and Milwaukee Bucks center/forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (11th).

Curry (second), James (third), Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (fourth), New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (fifth), Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (seventh), Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (eighth), Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ninth), Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (12th), Phoenix Suns teammates Kevin Durant (13th) and Devin Booker (14th) and Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (15th) round out the top 15 in overall sales.
Meanwhile, former Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, who was recently elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, was the last player not named Curry or James to lead the league in jersey sales. He did so when he scored a league-best 28.7 points per game in 2012-13.
