LinkedIn Rolls Out Improvements for Campaign Manager

LinkedIn has announced some new updates to its Campaign Manager app, which will help provide more insight and guidance to refine and improve your LinkedIn marketing performance.

First off, LinkedIn’s added a new “Media Planner” element, which will forecast the results of your campaigns before you launch them.

As you can see in this example, LinkedIn’s Media Planner will give you an overview of the expected results of your campaign, including likely ROI, with a simple overview and graph.

Of course, those results will vary, but using its AI-based predictive formulas, LinkedIn believes that this will be a relatively accurate representation of likely campaign performance.

LinkedIn has also added an option to duplicate your ads across campaigns and accounts, making it easier to broaden your campaigns.

So rather than having to cut and paste the relevant info, you’ll now be able to simply click on “Duplicate” to share your campaigns.

It’s also rolling out dynamic UTMs, which will automate UTM generation, enabling you to more easily track response to your prmotions.

LinkedIn’s also updated its various dashboards and overview displays in the app, including a top-level account review which will provide more insight into account-wide campaign performance, along with best practice tips.

It’s also got a range of new measurement insights, which will provide a detailed view of campaign performance across campaigns.

LinkedIn says that this enhanced display will help marketers refine their approach, and maximize your return on ad spend “by providing a detailed view of campaign performance across campaigns, ads, audiences, and the entire customer journey, beyond just the marketing funnel.”

Finally, LinkedIn’s also adding a new AI-driven Campaign Performance Digest on the Campaign Summary Page, which will provide plain text explainers of how to understand your latest results.

The text overview will be generated on request, and will give you a quick rundown of the strengths and weaknesses of your campaign, based on the data available.

That could be a handy guide to help improve your ad performance, and understand the various data points available.

These are some interesting updates, which will help to make Campaign Manager a more valuable tool for measuring campaign performance, and managing ad spend.
