Liv Morgan shared why she returned to WWE television with a chip on her shoulder. The former champion suffered an injury in June 2025 and missed several months before her return at Survivor Series last year.
In an interview on Sports Illustrated’s The TakeDown, Morgan opened up about her injury last year and revealed that it angered her. The Judgment Day star noted that the injury caused her to return with added motivation because she felt like a part of her career was taken from her.
Thanks for the submission!
“I feel like I got injured in a moment where I had multiple things going on for me. I was really enjoying and loving what I was doing, so to have that taken away from me for an extended period of time, I was angry. I was quite literally angry the whole entire time I was recovering. So, I feel like I came back with a little bit of a chip on my shoulder, just because I felt like my career was taken from me and I did not appreciate that,” she said. [H/T: WrestleTalk on X]

Liv Morgan reacts to Judgment Day star’s loss on WWE RAW
WWE star Liv Morgan reacted to Raquel Rodriguez’s loss this past Monday night on the red brand.
Raquel Rodriguez battled Stephanie Vaquer in a Philadelphia Street Fight for the Women’s World Championship on RAW, but came up short. Speaking on The Masked Man Show, Morgan suggested that Rodriguez was the only person to blame for the loss.
“I came out to help, and then Roxy came and tried to help. I feel like her loss wasn’t directly correlated to either of us coming out to help. So, yeah. The cookie crumbled the way it did. And Raquel put up a great battle, but unfortunately, she lost on her own,” Morgan said.
It will be fascinating to see which WWE title Liv Morgan goes after at WrestleMania 42.
