“Thats actually him?” one fan commented.
“Madison (Beer) let him grow his hair out pleaseee,” another fan said.
“The fluffy duck-butt hair is quite a sight,” a fan wrote.
“Lackadaisical comfort reps are so last 2 seasons. I want to see Herbert go full speed or, at least, close to full speed in practice. This isn’t practice, this is baby warmups! Baby warmups end up becoming the pre-game routine. A STINKING ROTTEN DISGUSTING HABIT that needs to be broken IMMEDIATELY,” another fan said.
“No leg sleeve or hand bandages. Lets keep him that way please!!” one fan wrote.
“Omg the flowy hari making a comeback? please oh please,” another fan commented.
Last season, Justin Herbert recorded 3,727 yards and 26 TDs passing. He helped the Chargers qualify for the playoffs for the third consecutive year. However, their Super Bowl hopes were crushed after a 3-16 wild-card round loss to the New England Patriots.
The Chargers utilize the offseason to revamp the offensive line to help in Justin Herbert’s protection
Last season, Justin Herbert was the third-most sacked quarterback in the league (54 sacks). Thus, one of the major needs of the Chargers this offseason was to bolster the offensive line.
Jim Harbaugh already bolstered the offensive line through the 2026 NFL draft and free agency. They signed guard Cole Strange, who spent last season with the Miami Dolphins. Apart from this, they also brought in center Tyler Biadasz. The Pro Bowler spent the last two years with the Washington Commanders.
In the draft, the Chargers made three more additions to their offensive line room.
- Center Jake Slaughter (63rd overall pick)
- Offensive guard Logan Taylor (202nd overall pick)
- Offensive guard Alex Harkey (206th overall pick)
Herbert has yet to make a Super Bowl appearance with the Chargers. So far, they have made just one appearance in the season finale in their franchise history. That was during Super Bowl XXIX when they lost to the San Francisco 49ers.
