AEW star Bryan Danielson returned to the company last week to pay tribute to PAC. The latter passed away at the age of 40. He had a phenomenal match one night before his demise at All Out. He tragically passed away in his car last Sunday. The entire pro wrestling world mourned his loss. AEW President Tony Khan decided to dedicate an entire episode of Dynamite to the late great star.
Shockingly, Bryan Danielson hasn’t been seen in action for many months, until last Wednesday. Despite being semi-retired, Bryan was sitting on commentary. However, after his neck was in trouble, he went on a hiatus. After Jon Moxley’s opening contest against Orange Cassidy, the American Dragon returned and hugged the One True King in the middle of the ring. Not only that, he later joined the Death Riders in the ring and defeated the Don Callis Family.
According to Fightful.com, Bryan Danielson is probably not involved in the future on-screen plans for this week’s Dynamite.
AEW veteran Bryan Danielson talks about his hardships
The former AEW World Champion retired from full-time wrestling in 2024. Last year, he returned as a commentator on Dynamite. Unfortunately, the travelling from week to week damaged his already injured neck.
While speaking on Insights, Bryan Danielson said AEW asked him to call action because Taz was out of action for a few months. However, his neck was hurt.
“It’s been interesting because I wasn’t anticipating being a commentator. So I was at home, and then they asked me to come in because Taz was getting shoulder surgery, and to come and help out a little bit. But traveling has been difficult for me. That’s one of the things I didn’t expect, because I’ve traveled my entire adult life. It’s no big deal. But with my neck as bad as it is, all of a sudden, it was almost, gosh. It was like eight or nine months where I was only traveling maybe once a month,” he said.
It will be interesting to see what is next for the former AEW World Champion.
