Major star sends a message to Powerhouse Hobbs after he’s reportedly finished with AEW

A major AEW star has just sent a heartfelt message to Powerhouse Hobbs on social media. This comes after reports indicating that he has wrapped up his time with the company.

It was reported after Dynamite: Maximum Carnage this week that the former TNT Champion’s contract with the promotion would expire at midnight. The belief was that he was no longer re-signing with the company and would be making his way to WWE following mutual interest between them. They have been keeping their eye on him for some time now.

Dante Martin has taken to X/Twitter to send a short but sweet message for Powerhouse Hobbs. He tagged him and posted a heart emoji, and although nothing was explicitly stated, he was giving him his flowers following his departure. The two AEW originals have shared the ring on multiple occasions since 2021, whether in singles action or multi-man matches.

Powerhouse Hobbs has already said his goodbyes to the locker room

Powerhouse Hobbs has already competed in his final match for the promotion as he was part of a trios match featured during the tapings for AEW Collision: Maximum Carnage last Wednesday. This saw The Opps put their trios titles on the line against the team of ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and JetSpeed.

PWInsider has reported that this night marked the end of his tenure with the company, and it is confirmed that he is leaving on a positive note. He has already said his goodbyes to the locker room and will now be a free agent. Although nothing is confirmed, WWE is the frontrunner to sign him.

Should his move to the Stamford-based promotion become official, it will be interesting to see how he’ll fare on the roster. There is no shortage of talent he could share the ring with, and he’ll be able to take on some familar faces eventually.
