Lineal WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley has been out with a torn meniscus and recently underwent surgery. A few more months for her recovery, and then Rhea might be back to wrestle. However, in the course of this, Rhea’s husband, Buddy Matthews, provided an update on her condition.
Rhea Ripley has been out of action since June after sustaining a knee injury during her title defense against Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy. Her absence forced her to miss SummerSlam, where Chelsea Green captured the Interim WWE Women’s Championship in a ladder match.
Thanks for the submission!
On an Instagram Story, Rhea cautiously walked, relying on a crutch, as Matthews filmed a video of him facing the mirror during his workout.
Her in-ring comeback is rumored for early 2027, aligning with the road to WrestleMania 43.
Kevin Nash suggested special treatment for Rhea Ripley
WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash believes WWE should fund specialized medical treatment in Colombia to aid Rhea Ripley’s recovery from her latest injury.
Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Nash suggested sending Ripley to BioXcellerator, a renowned stem cell therapy facility in Medellín that Nash has personally utilized.
“I would love for Rhea to go down to BioXcellerator down in Colombia, and I think that WWE should pay for it. And I think that they should — wherever she’s got problems, if it’s discs in her back or whatever,” said Kevin Nash.
Nash emphasized that undergoing advanced therapy at the clinic could significantly accelerate Mami’s recovery process. That would help the former Women’s World Champion return to peak fighting form much sooner.
On the other hand, the interim WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green has also suffered a blow, sustaining a broken orbital bone during a tag team match against Fatal Influence on SmackDown.
