Maxx Crosby’s agent makes emotions recognized on DE’s well being after reportedly failing bodily take a look at with Ravens

Maxx Crosby has become a hot topic of discussion this offseason. On Friday, the Baltimore Ravens had agreed to give up two first-round picks to acquire the defensive end from the Las Vegas Raiders.

However, things took a different turn on Tuesday. Reports surfaced that the Ravens are backing out of this trade after Crosby failed his physicals. The five-time Pro Bowler’s agent, CJ LaBoy, shared a statement talking about his knee injury recovery after the failed deal.

“Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr. Neal El Attrache. Maxx remains ontrack to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons,” LaBoy tweet.

Maxx Crosby missed the last two games of the 2025 campaign after suffering a torn meniscus injury. The defensive end underwent surgery in January and is expected to fully recover by the start of the 2026 season.

Last month, the five-time Pro Bowler shared a video on social media providing an update on his rehabilitation. Crosby was seen hooping while praising his medical team for helping him through the injury.

“Two weeks out, no crunches anymore,” Crosby said. “We’re walking. We’re moving. Shoutout to Drew, shoutout to Jocelyn, shoutout to Morgan, shoutout to Dr. Neil. We’re rolling and cooking. I’m still a shoot.”

The Raiders signed Crosby to a three-year extension worth $106.5 million last March. They finished with a 3-14 record while the defensive end put up 73 total tackles and 10 sacks in 15 games.

Bryant McFadden shares his thoughts on the Ravens backing out of the Maxx Crosby trade

On Tuesday’s episode of “NFL on CBS,” retired two-time Super Bowl champ turned analyst Bryant McFadden discussed the situation involving Maxx Crosby and the Ravens.

“When it comes to the NFL, especially during this time of the year, when you have guys getting physicals done, organizations, they can fail a guy any given time, especially if there’s a previous injury,” McFadden said. “Anything can always surface in these examinations. I’m not surprised to hear a guy fail a physical.

“I don’t want to open up this pandora box and start this conspiracy theory, but I wonder if the Ravens felt like, ‘You know what, we kind of gave too much for Maxx Crosby.’ … Maybe the Ravens were having some type of buyers remorse.”

The Ravens are now reportedly showing an interest in acquiring unrestricted free agent Trey Hendrickson instead of Crosby. The Cincinnati Bengals decided not to use the franchise tag on the defensive end.

Bryant McFadden believes that they could acquire the four-time Pro Bowler on a significantly lower-valued trade compared to the Raiders star.
