Maxx Crosby’s spouse Rachel sounds off after Ravens again out of commerce over DE reportedly failing bodily check

The Baltimore Ravens has dramatically backed out of the Maxx Crosby trade late Tuesday night.

Reports surfaced that the team backed out after Crosby did not pass his physical in Baltimore. The concern centered on his left knee, following a meniscus repair surgery performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in January.

Late Tuesday night, Senior Vice President of NFL Football, CJ LaBoy, who is Crosby’s agent broke his silence on X. LaBoy pushed back against the “failed physical” narrative, stating that Crosby is actually “ahead of schedule” in his recovery.

Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr Neal El Attrache. Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons.

As of Wednesday morning, Crosby is reportedly heading back to Las Vegas to resume his rehab program with the Raiders’ staff.

Crosby’s injury occurred during a Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. From that point on, he rarely practiced at full speed but continued to play through significant pain.

On Dec. 27, after playing through the injury for over two months, the Raiders officially placed him on Injured Reserve (IR) with two games left in the season.

This was a point of major contention. Crosby “vehemently disagreed” with the decision and reportedly left the team facility in frustration.

Shortly after the season ended, Crosby underwent surgery in Los Angeles on Jan. 7 to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. The procedure was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache.

The original agreement between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Baltimore Ravens was struck on Friday.

Because the trade collapsed, the ripple effects have been massive for both teams.

The Ravens kept their two first-round picks but immediately spent $112 million to sign free agent Trey Hendrickson instead.

On the other hand, the Raiders lost the No. 14 pick they were planning to use to build around presumptive top pick Fernando Mendoza. They also suddenly “regained” Crosby’s $30 million salary on their books, which complicates the $281 million they just committed to new free agents like Tyler Linderbaum.
