A number of workers of the non-profit World Central Kitchen had been killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza in a single day, the group’s founder José Andrés wrote on social media web site X.

“Today @WCKitchen lost several of our sisters and brothers in an IDF air strike in Gaza. I am heartbroken and grieving for their families and friends and our whole WCK family … The Israeli government needs to stop this indiscriminate killing,” Andres wrote.

The Israeli army mentioned in an announcement early Tuesday, cited by the New York Occasions, that it was “conducting a thorough review at the highest levels to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident.”
