Mercedes Mone sends emotional message after not returning to AEW at Dynasty 2026

AEW star Mercedes Mone sent a three-word message following the Dynasty pay-per-view. The show was a huge hit as it saw multiple title changes and many entertaining moments. One of the main matches on the card was Thekla vs. Jamie Hayter, where the AEW Women’s World Championship was on the line. Many expected her to return to the pay-per-view, but she didn’t.

The CEO has been absent from the Jacksonville-based promotion since December 2025. She won a dozen titles last year by travelling in the independent promotions throughout the world. In the past three months, she dropped the titles, and many are expecting her to make a comeback.

ROH’s official YouTube channel recently uploaded a full match of Mercedes Mone and Red Velvet. She recently took to X and reacted to her match against Velvet, saying she misses the ring.

“I miss you”, she wrote.

Veteran claims how Mercedes Mone’s world tour could have been beneficial to AEW

The former TBS Champion travelled to countries such as Mexico, Italy, Germany and many other countries to win the championships last year. One of the main reasons she travelled to every promotion because her appearances turned out to be helpful for the independent companies.

While speaking on Story Time, veteran Dutch Mantell said that Mercedes Mone’s tour could have been a lot bigger than it was. AEW could have shot her interviews in the independent companies and aired them on All Elite Wrestling TV. He pointed out that the only issue with this idea was that the promotions she wrestled in were almost empty.

“Yeah, that was good. Hell, I kinda liked the idea. Did she do interviews in all these places? You know, they could have made a big deal out of that, of her going all over the world and that would have made AEW look better if they weren’t in some really cr*ppy arenas that you had 14 people sitting out there. There’d have to be more than that. Actually, they could have made that work,” she said.

It will be interesting to see what is next for Mercedes Mone.
