Mercedes Mone will get a non-PG new title in AEW

AEW top star Mercedes Mone has shocked the wrestling world by adopting a new non-PG name.

The CEO resurfaced in the Jacksonville-based promotion last month after a lengthy hiatus, as part of the Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament. Mone made her way to the finals at Forbidden Door 2026 PPV, where she defeated Maya World to win the Cup for the second straight year. In doing so, she has earned an AEW Women’s World Championship match at All In 2026.

Furthermore, things have taken a new turn for the former Sasha Banks. On the episode of Beach Break, Mercedes Mone formed an alliance with the reigning AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross). The trio recently emerged victorious in their first match together as a stable on Dynamite this week, following which Mone shared a photo with an unexpected caption. She continued the same narrative by changing her name on X to ‘Big D Mone’, making a stunning move in the process.

AEW star Mercedes Mone had huge praise for her boss Tony Khan

Mercedes Mone has had a spectacular run since joining AEW in 2024. In an interview with TV Insider, the former RAW Women’s Champion spoke highly of Tony Khan, calling him the best boss she had in her life, and added that he had the same energy and passion for professional wrestling as she did.

“Tony Khan is the best boss I’ve had in my whole life. I love working with him. I love working for him. It has been so positive just to be around him. He brings such an energy that I’ve never experienced from a boss before. I don’t know, he makes you so happy even before you go out to the ring. He is just so energetic and passionate about wrestling. I love wrestling, and he does. So, it’s the best working with someone who loves it just as much as you do,” she said.

Furthermore, Mone is looking ahead to All In 2026 as she has a huge title opportunity at the event. So it remains to be seen if she will be able to win the championship, unlike her failure last year at All In.
