Messenger Increases File Size Sharing to 100MB

This could be handy.

Messenger has updated its file size sharing limit to 100 megabytes, which will make it easier to distribute video clips, in particular, via your DMs.

As outlined in the above video overview, Messenger has increased its file size limit from 25MB to 100MB. Well, it was 10MB, but Messenger did increase the limit to 25MB for some users a year ago.

With this, you can now easily drag and attach larger text and image and video files into your DM chats, while you can also include Word docs, Excel sheets, and PDFs.

You can attach files on mobile or on desktop, while you can also create shared albums that include HD presentation.

It’s a handy update, which, based on the announcement, is primarily aimed at gaming creators and enabling more sharing activity within gamer communities.

But it could have a variety of uses within your chats. I mean, most people likely feel more comfortable sharing private files on WhatsApp, which has a better reputation for security, and a larger file size limit (WhatsApp max file size is 2GB).

But if you have communities on Messenger where you engage around specific topics, you can now share larger files in those chats too, which could be of benefit.
