Major League Soccer has released its list of best-selling jerseys so far this calendar year and — surprise, surprise — Lionel Messi is once again at the top.
Between midseason and end-of-season lists, including the one just released today (Wednesday, June 18), the Inter Miami forward has finished atop the last four rankings of the top-selling jerseys on MLSStore.com operated by Fanatics. The most recent list covers sales between January 1 and May 1, 2025.
As he did in both 2024 lists, Messi’s Inter Miami teammate Luis Suárez finished in second place. In total, four Inter Miami players made the top 25, with Sergio Busquets (No. 16) and Benjamin Cremaschi (No. 23) being the others. That total was matched by only one other team, the Seattle Sounders, who are represented by Jordan Morris (No. 6), Pedro de la Vega (No. 14), Albert Rusnák (No. 24) and Jesús Ferreira (No. 25).
The rest of the top five includes, in order: Miguel Almirón of Atlanta United; Hirving “Chucky” Lozano of San Diego FC; and Darlington Nagbe of the Columbus Crew.
Overall, 12 MLS clubs and 15 different nationalities are represented among the top 25. Four of them are playing their first season in MLS:

- Kévin Denkey (FC Cincinnati)
- Wilfried Zaha (Charlotte FC)
Eight players on the list have played in a FIFA World Cup match, and three have won a World Cup (Messi, Busquets, Olivier Giroud). Eight players were 2024 MLS All-Star selections, while six are under the age of 24.
