Micah Parsons torches Colin Cowherd for calling out Packers DE’s lackluster efficiency

NFL analyst Colin Cowherd called out Micah Parsons after the Green Bay Packers’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. While speaking on ‘The Herd’, Cowherd praised Parsons’ athleticism and ability to make a slash, but was critical about his run defense.

Parsons caught wind of the criticism and responded on X (formerly Twitter). The perennial All-Pro defensive end wrote,

“😂😂😂😂 We just held Saquon Barkley to 60 rushing yards, and our only losses have been holding teams to 13 points! Man, sometimes can y’all? Please stfu and enjoy great defense! Why do you think teams come into the games that were going to run the ball on 3rd and long?”

Parsons concluded,

“What effect do you think that is? Please stop giving people’s mics or listening to trash!”

The Packers’ defense was resolute against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10. Parsons and Co. held the defending Super Bowl champions to a mere 10 points at Lambeau Field.

However, the offense could only muster seven points. That turned out to be critical as the Packers suffered their third loss of the season. They’re now in the third place of a stacked NFC North behind the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears.

Micah Parsons on pace for fifth straight 10+ sack season

The Green Bay Packers acquired Micah Parsons in a preseason trade with the Dallas Cowboys. The Packers brought in Parsons due to his sack ability, versatility, and tenacity on defense.

Parsons is currently on pace for yet another 10-sack season. The superstar defensive end has racked up 6.5 sacks in nine games this season. He has reached the impressive number despite being regularly double-teamed on a new team.

Last season, Parsons became just the fifth player in league history to amass double-digit sacks in each of his first four seasons. He joined legends Reggie White, Claude Humphrey, Derrick Thomas and Dwight Freeney in the record books. Parsons has recorded 12 or more sacks every season that he’s been in the NFL.

Next up for Micah Parsons and the Packers is a trip to New York to face off against the Giants. Matt LaFleur’s side will fancy their chances against a banged-up Giants, currently searching for a new head coach following the firing of Brian Daboll.
