Michael Jordan has not been good friends with former co-star Scottie Pippen, especially after Netflix released “The Last Dance” in 2020. Pippen believed that his contributions to the Chicago Bulls‘ success at that time were discredited and were not presented well in the documentary.
Because of that, Pippen said that his relationship with Jordan will not be the same. The six-time champion also confirmed that they are not on speaking terms. According to longtime sportswriter Sam Smith, Jordan has regrets over his state of relationship with his former teammate.
Thanks for the submission!
On Friday, former NBA player Scott Williams spoke about wanting to see Jordan and Pippen repair their relationship. Williams hopes to see someone take up the role of being the intermediary to get them back to being friends.

“I’m hopeful that at some time here, shortly, those guys can patch up their relationship,” Williams said. “I know that there’s a long way to go. A lot has been said, mostly by Scottie and his camp. Michael’s not one to forgive quickly.
“But maybe we can get somebody to step in and be like an intermediary.”
There is hope that the relationship between the two could still be salvaged after Charles Barkley confirmed that he is on speaking terms with Michael Jordan. The former Dream Team co-stars have not been good friends for over a decade. This happened after Barkley criticized the six-time champion’s performance as the former majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets (then Bobcats).
Fans believe there is hope for Jordan and Pippen to reconcile before it’s too late.
Vince Coleman Played a Significant Role in the Reconciliation of Charles Barkley And Michael Jordan
Charles Barkley appeared on Thursday’s episode of ESPN 1000’s “Waddle and Silvy,” and talked about how he made up with Michael Jordan. Barkley said that former MLB star Vince Coleman was the one who initiated the two former NBA stars to become friends again.
‘It’s interesting,” Barkley began. “I was just chillin’ at the house last week, and one of my good friends is Vince Coleman, the great baseball player. When we answer the phone, we (jokingly) say some unkind words to each other … he says, ‘Yo, I’m down here at The Grove. I’m sick of you and MJ’s BS. He’s right here. Y’all need to talk.’”
Barkley appeared on Saturday’s episode of Sirius XM’s “Mad Dog Unleashed.” During his time on the show, he told the host, Chris Russo, that he is set to hang out with Jordan and play golf.
The former Phoenix Suns star said that he believes they both have missed each other. Before the fallout, Michael Jordan was close friends with the current ESPN analyst. Fortunately for the two former stars, they will not mend their broken relationship.
