Miles Bridges was involved in a wild brawl on Monday between the Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons. Bridges is facing a hefty fine and potential suspension for his actions against Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart. The beef seems to be far from over after Bridges’ recent comments on social media.
In a comment on an Instagram post, Bridges reacted to the melee at the Spectrum Center that led to four ejections. He took a shot at Stewart’s “enforcer” reputation by commenting about the “fight” they had, insinuating that the Pistons big man didn’t land any punches.
Thanks for the submission!
“They enforcer was grabbing hair. He wasn’t tryna box fr,” Bridges commented.

In addition to Miles Bridges and Isaiah Stewart, Jalen Duren and Moussa Diabate were also ejected for their roles in the fight. Duren and Diabate started the fight after a couple of shoves and cheap shots before the possession that started the incident.
Diabate got elbowed in the chest by Duren, who received the ball on the elbow. He tried to attack the Hornets center, who fouled him hard on the arm. The two behemoths went forehead-to-forehead, leading to Duren shoving Diabate’s face, inciting the brawl.
Diabate wasn’t happy with Duren, who was then pushed off by Bridges. Things reached halfcourt, with Stewart charging at Bridges after he threw a punch at his Pistons teammate. “Beef Stew” was on the bench, so he is expected to get suspended for at least one game for his role in the fight.
But due to his history, he’ll likely get the harshest punishment from the NBA. Bridges is also expected to get a little leeway due to throwing punches at two different players, while Duren and Diabate are in trouble for starting the fight.
Miles Bridges apologizes to Hornets fans for role in the brawl
Despite taking shots at Isaiah Stewart on Instagram, Miles Bridges acknowledged his role in the brawl between the Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons. Bridges apologized to his teammates, the franchise and the fanbase for letting his emotions get the best of him.
“Sorry Hornets nation! Sorry Hornets Organization! Always going to protect my team-mates forever,” Bridges wrote on Instagram.
Bridges has been with the Hornets since they acquired him from the LA Clippers for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in a draft-day trade in 2018. He has a chance to face Isaiah Stewart and the Pistons on April 11, plus a first-round matchup is possible.
