The Minnesota Twins saved a small uniform surprise for Opening Day.
Having already changed their alternate blue jerseys for 2026, the Twins apparently have also changed the sleeve patch on their road greys, debuting the new logo during their first game of the season on Thursday at Baltimore.
The patch features the club’s abbreviation “MIN” in grey, placed inside a navy blue baseball with silver stitching. Above and below the wordmark is “SINCE 1961,” noting the season the franchise moved from Washington to Minnesota, along with two of their North Star symbols in red on either side of the year — presumably a reference to the “twin cities” of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

From the 2023 through 2025 seasons, the team had worn a patch in the shape of the State of Minnesota with a red North Star indicating where their home ballpark was. This state patch will still be on their home white jersey sleeve, as it has been since 2023, and has just been added to the sleeve of their alternate blue jersey for 2026.
