Although it came one day earlier than our sources indicated, the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday morning unveiled their new “Winter Warrior” alternate uniforms, which will be worn against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 16 (8 p.m. ET on ABC).

We caught our first glimpse of Minnesota’s new jerseys from former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown’s social media network, CTESPN, back in April when he also leaked the New York Giants’ “Century Red” throwback jerseys.

They feature purple numbers with a silver stroke and icicles hanging from the digits, which do not include sails, as well as silver and purple sleeve stripes that match the design of their home purple and white road jerseys.

There’s also a new “Vikings” wordmark on the chest, which could be a hint of a change to come, a la the Philadelphia Eagles updating their wordmark in 2022 but having to wait two years before they could change it on their uniforms.

The jerseys will be paired with matching white pants and the first white helmet in Vikings’ history, as they’ve only worn various shade of purple dating back to their inaugural season in 1961. It features a silver facemask, silver stripe and white horns outlined in purple.

That matches the two-color version of Minnesota’s primary logo that was painted at midfield during the franchise’s first two “Winter Whiteouts,” including a 27-24 win over the New York Giants in 2022 and a 30-24 loss to the Detroit Lions in 2023.
