MLB Launches 2025 Spring Training New Era Cap Collection – Sports activitiesLogos.Net News

Today, Major League Baseball and New Era unveiled their line of 2025 Spring Training on-field caps. As was the case with 2024, these caps will again only be worn during Spring Training — a different design is worn during batting practice.

Of the 29 teams (no Pirates one up there yet, as far as I can tell) over at MLBShop.com, I noted five teams breaking out new designs, with the rest of the league simply updating the patch on the side to reflect the new 2025 Spring Training mark.

The five clubs with new caps for Spring Training in 2025 are:

  • Baltimore Orioles: Visor colour change from orange to black
  • Minnesota Twins: Logo switches from crossed flags to the M logo
  • New York Mets: “NY” cap logo replaced with Mr. Met wearing a pair of sunglasses
  • New York Yankees: Usual cap replaced with a pinstriped crown at home, grey on the road
  • Tampa Bay Rays: Yellow crown dropped in favour of a powder blue one

Here’s a look at the entire collection, minus, of course, the AWOL Pittsburgh Pirates:

The star of the lot most certainly will be the New York Mets, who, perhaps inspired by the popular Philadelphia Phillies BP cap last year, are using their mascot on their cap — though, to be fair to the Mets, they have used Mr. Met on Spring Training gear a few times previously.

Pitchers and catchers will start reporting to Spring Training camps across the league next week. The Chicago Cubs have the earliest date with their battery mates, who are expected to arrive on Sunday.
