If you haven’t heard, there is a rather major national leadership decision on the horizon.

Yes, you can bet via sportsbook on who will win this fierce battle for a role that no one wants.

That’s right, Eddie Howe is the bookie’s favorite to be named the next England FOOTBALL (yes, the sport where you use your foot) manager.

But as I have no real feeling on who will end up at the end of that no-win decision the English Football Association must make, let’s instead focus on some Argentine soccer, baseball and the NBA Summer League, where I’ll try to make it two in a row before things wrap up in Sin City.

Argentina Primera Nacional Soccer: Quilmes vs. San Martin Tucuman

When I initially looked at this matchup, I thought SMT were pretty stonking good value at +240 considering they currently sit second in the table, eight points and four spots ahead of Quilmes.

Then I remembered that winning on the road in South America is a very, very difficult thing to do.

Quilmes come into this one off the back of a very impressive 4-0 road win over Chacarita Juniors and a 1-0 home win vs. fourth-placed Estudiantes the week prior that ended a four-game losing skid.

San Martin Tucuman have alternated wins and losses in their last four and come in off a nice 1-0 home win over third-placed San Miguel.

Yes, Quilmes scored that 4-burger recently, but neither team scores very much on a consistent basis, so I like under 3.5 and the home team in this one for plus money.

Quilmes to win, under 3.5 goals (+110 on DraftKings)

Major League Baseball: Mets at Marlins

The lowly Marlins have taken two of the first three games from the not-quite-as-lowly Mets in this series, but their Monday starter, Yonny Chirinos, has yet to find a win in five starts this season.

He’s also allowed eight or more hits in three of those five starts and gave up seven earned runs over 5 2/3 innings in his last outing at Cincinnati.

Mets’ starter David Peterson, meanwhile, is looking to continue his undefeated season after getting back to winning ways against the Nationals in his most recent start, going six scoreless innings to stop a three-game no-decision skid.

I just can’t see the Mets going down easily in this one with the threat of a brutal series loss hanging over their heads.

Mets -1.5 (+100 at DraftKings)

NBA Summer League: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Miami Heat

Last week I rode the Heat to an easy win, but this week I’m rolling with Memphis in the battle of the only two remaining undefeated teams in the league as these two top-scoring squads meet in the championship game.

Memphis leads the summer league in assists per game as well as steals per game and will look to limit the red-hot Jaime Jaquez, who is averaging 26 points.

Grizzlies’ Scotty Pippen Jr. went off for a triple-double in Sunday’s semifinal win over the Clippers, and the son of the former Bulls star will certainly try to light the Vegas court up again on Monday.

I expect this game to be a close one, but I like Memphis to cover with their superior guard play.

Memphis Grizzlies -2 (-110 at DraftKings)
