President Donald Trump conducted a press conference on Tuesday evening alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a surprising turn of events during the conference, President Trump announced a stunning development: the United States will assume control of the Gaza Strip for redevelopment purposes.
President Trump: The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too. We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous, unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site, and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out, create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area. Do a real job, do something different. Just can’t go back. If you, it’s going to end up the same way it has for 100 years.
Later in the press conference, a female Afghan reporter with a heavy accent asked Trump a question.
Her accent was so thick that President Trump could not understand her.
“Do you have a plan to change the Afghanistan situation? Are you able to recognize the Taliban [government]? Because I’m an Afghan journalist, an Afghan suffered woman. Any comment about Afghanistan? What’s your future plan for Afghan people, especially Afghanistan?” the Afghan reporter asked.
Here was Trump’s response: “I have a little hard time understanding you. Where are you from?… Actually, it’s a beautiful voice and a beautiful accent. The only problem is, I can’t understand a word you’re saying. But I just say this. Good luck. Live in Peace.”
