“My ultimate goal” – Nong-O Hama units his sights on divisional gold following essential trilogy victory

Former longtime ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion and Thai legend Nong-O Hama is keeping his eye on the gold after another successful outing at The Inner Circle last weekend.

Nong-O settled his rivalry with countryman Kongthoranee Sor Sommai in a highly anticipated trilogy match at The Inner Circle 20 at Lumpinee Stadium. It was a vintage performance from the veteran, who used his wealth of experience, combined with his awesome power, to stifle the much younger fighter.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Nong-O said that now that he’s closed the book on his rivalry with Kongthoranee, he’s ready for another run at the gold.

The Thai living legend told the world’s largest martial arts organization:

“My ultimate goal is the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title. Of course, it’s up to the promotion to decide when I get that shot. But I’m ready to give it my all in every single fight. No matter how hard the road is, I’m going to push myself even further to make it happen.”

Needless to say, Nong-O is confident he can lift the gold from newly crowned flyweight Muay Thai king ‘The Dagestan Ninja’ Asadula Imangazaliev, who was also victorious on the same card.

The Inner Circle 20 was broadcast live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, June 26. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all of the action via replay on-demand via live.onefc.com for a small monthly subscription.

Nong-O Hama eyes rematch with Asadula Imangazaliev

Nong-O Hama remains confident he will one day capture ONE Championship gold again, especially after his victory over Kongthoranee Sor Sommai at The Inner Circle 20 last week.

He told ONE Championship he was ready for his rematch with Asadula Imangazaliev:

“Even though he got the better of me in our first fight, I’m ready to adjust my game plan, sit down with my team, and bring a smarter approach. I’ve never picked my opponents. I’ll fight absolutely anyone they put in front of me. I’m ready to test myself against the best.”
