Prayers up for Moses Moody of the Golden State Warriors after he suffered a devastating injury on Monday night against the Dallas Mavericks. NBA fans online were horrified to see what happened to Moody’s left knee, with the player getting stretchered out of the game.
With the Warriors up by five points in overtime, Moody poked the ball away from Cooper Flagg. He had a wide-open lane for a fastbreak dunk, but his left knee gave out as he jumped for the slam. He fell to the ground, clutching his knee and in a lot of pain.
Thanks for the submission!
After a few seconds, the play stopped after the ball went out of bounds. Players, coaches and team personnel checked on Moody, whose knee appeared to have been dislocated. His knee was immediately wrapped as he was stretchered out of the court, with Draymond Green consoling the young forward.

NBA fans on social media were horrified to see what happened to Moses Moody. It’s probably the most brutal injury of the season, and it even has similarities to what happened to Shaun Livingston back in 2007.
Here are some of the comments on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Moses Moody is likely heading to a hospital to undergo tests, especially if the injury needs immediate attention from medical professionals. Moody was playing in his first game back from a sprained wrist. He had 23 points, three rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks before his injury.
Update on Moses Moody’s injury after the game
Despite Moses Moody’s injury, the Golden State Warriors were able to hold off the Dallas Mavericks and earn a 137-131 win in overtime. It was a somber mood inside the American Airlines Center after what happened to Moody, so it was likely an even quieter locker room for the Warriors, even if they earned a win.
According to Warriors coach Steve Kerr, Moody underwent X-rays immediately after being stretchered off the court. Kerr is hoping for the best despite how the bad injury looked. The team is going to wait for an official diagnosis before making any announcements.
“We don’t know what it is, but it sure looked bad,” Kerr said.
The Warriors are now heading back home after finishing a six-game road trip. They will play seven of their next eight games at the Chase Center.
