The NBA recently unveiled a new logo for the Emirates NBA Cup, the league’s second annual in-season tournament that will tip off on Nov. 12 and culminate with the championship game at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 17.

Like last season’s In-Season Tournament, which was renamed after the NBA announced a multi-year partnership with the global airline company in February, the Emirates NBA Cup will feature group play for all 30 teams and knockout rounds for eight teams that advance from group play.

All 30 teams were randomly drawn into groups of five within their conference based upon their record from last season, and will each play four games within their group on “Cup Nights.” Six group winners and two wild card teams will then advance to the single-elimination knockout rounds.

Teams notably unveiled new court designs for the tournament, which featured the NBA Cup behind their logo at midcourt and in the lanes and were painted from edge to edge in team colors. Each design was inspired by their City Edition uniforms, which debuted during the tournament.

The NBA also had a special court design for the tournament semifinals and finals, though the base color actually forced tournament champion Los Angeles Lakers, finalist Indiana Pacers and semifinalists Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans to wear their Association and/or Icon sets instead.

It’s expected that the league will once again unveil new court designs for each team alongside their 2024-25 City Edition uniforms in October. Commissioner Adam Silver also said the league is considering a special court design for future NBA Finals games.

As for the new logo, it prominently displays the NBA logo and NBA Cup wordmark beside the championship trophy, as well as the Emirates logo, whereas last season’s In-Season Tournament included its name with blue and red brackets for the Eastern and Western conferences.
