Shedeur Sanders’ chances of starting Week 1 for the Browns are dropping

Shedeur Sanders is locked in a quarterback competition in Cleveland. According to the prediction site Kalshi, Sanders’ odds of starting the Browns’ Week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars have fallen to 31%, down sharply from 60% just a month ago.
Veteran quarterback Deshaun Watson, returning from back-to-back Achilles surgeries, has surged to 63% and keeps climbing. Browns coach Todd Monken has been complimentary of Watson, calling his athleticism a “superpower” that separates him from every other quarterback on the roster.
Cleveland has four quarterbacks competing for the job: Sanders, Watson, fellow sophomore Dillon Gabriel and rookie Taylen Green. Monken has said he plans to name a starter before training camp opens in July.
