New Louisville Cardinals, Washington Huskies Football Jerseys Leak On eBay – SportsLogos.Net News

The Louisville Cardinals and Washington Huskies are among a handful of teams set to update to adidas’ latest template this fall, and a recent listing on eBay revealed they’ll both be updating to a new uniform design in the process.

The red Louisville retail jersey, which was listed by eBay user B&J’s VG, is reminiscent of what the Cardinals wore when head coach Jeff Brohm was their starting quarterback in the early 1990s, with white, red and black stripes on the sleeves.

The interesting part is that Brohm actually wore a modified jersey with shorter sleeves that cut off the bottom stripe, whereas other players had longer sleeves with the full sequence of white, red, black, red and black stripes, and this design replicates the former.

The jerseys, which are set to replace a winged-shoulder design that was introduced in 2021, will continue to feature the familiar “Louisville” wordmark across the chest and drop shadow number font that dates back to the mid-2000s. There’s also a subtle fleur-de-lis pattern in the top stripe.

The white Washington jersey, meanwhile, reintroduces gold to the Huskies’ road look by adding a single gold stripe between two purple stripes on the sleeves and a gold stroke to the purple numbers. The stripes were previously two shades of purple and the numbers were a single color.

Presumably, a similar change will be made to Washington’s purple home jerseys, which have featured two light purple stripes on the sleeves and solid white numbers since 2023. The same goes for their matching purple and white pants.

The eBay user, which used to be known as annazamb53 and previously leaked the throwback uniforms that Nebraska wore to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Memorial Stadium in 2023, also shared listings for other teams updating to adidas’ latest template.

That includes Grambling State, Mississippi State, N.C. State and Texas A&M, with the Bulldogs and Wolfpack modifying the logo at the base of their collars, as well as Kansas and Miami, who will both unveil new throwback uniforms this season.
