New Orleans Saints To Debut White Alternate Helmets At Seattle Seahawks  – SportsLogos.Net News

The New Orleans Saints will wear their new white alternate helmets for the first time when they take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon, with kickoff set for 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS.

The white helmets, which will be worn with their all-white Color Rush uniforms, feature a predominantly gold fleur-de-lis logo on the sides, as well as a black and gold striping pattern down the center and a gold facemask.

The metallic gold stripe also includes a sublimated fleur-de-lis pattern throughout, similar to how their black alternate helmets prominently feature the iconic symbol often associated with French royalty on the front.

This marks the first white helmet in franchise history, as the Saints wore black lids during the 1967 preseason before making gold their primary design. They then exclusively worn gold helmets until they introduced the black lids in 2022.

New Orleans is now the 17th team in the league with a white helmet in its wardrobe, which is more than half of the league. The Saints also introduced a new gold alternate jersey this offseason, which debuted in a season-opening loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 7.

That leaves two additional games this season in which the Saints could wear their black alternate helmet and gold alternate jerseys or white alternate helmets and Color Rush uniforms as the NFL now allows teams to wear their alternate and/or throwback uniforms as much as four times each season.

They’re also allowed to mix and match their alternate helmets with their their home, road, alternate or Color Rush designs, so the Saints could potentially wear their white alternate helmets with their gold alternate jerseys, though they’ve not indicated any plans to do so.
