NFL followers react as Browns WR fumbles Shedeur Sanders’ move whereas showboating vs. Raiders

Shedeur Sanders’ first NFL start had a bit of everything in the first half. The Cleveland Browns‘ rookie quarterback looked comfortable against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, putting his team in position to score twice and enter halftime 14-3 up.

However, not everything was positive for Sanders. The former Colorado Buffaloes star could put his team close to the end zone again with 3:56 left in the second quarter, until wide receiver Jerry Jeudy fumbled the ball.

Raiders’ Jeremy Chinn punched the ball after Jeudy made the catch, which resulted in a fumble recovery for Las Vegas.

Others claimed that people would find a way to make Shedeur Sanders responsible for Jeudy’s blunder.

“Casuals will say it’s Sanders fault somehow,” one fan said.

“Jeudy got paid by the elites to make Shedeur look bad smh,” another fan said.

“The Browns will find a way to blame Sanders for that,” another fan said.

Jerry Jeudy had caught a deep pass before, as he finished the first half with one catch for 39 yards. The Browns entered halftime up by two scores, with their brand-new starting quarterback playing at a solid level.

How did Shedeur Sanders fare in his first half as the Browns starter?

Shedeur Sanders had a solid first half in his first start with the Browns. The No. 144 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft showed off his arm at the start, but he needed to find accuracy. Once he settled, Sanders looked more comfortable.

He went 7 of 11 for 127 yards, with one touchdown and one sack. Running back Quinshon Judkins was crucial for the Browns in the red zone, as he found the end zone twice. Isaiah Bond led the Browns’ pass catchers with 58 yards on two receptions.

The Browns cashed in on their opportunities to dominate the score. Sanders could have recorded better numbers if Jeudy hadn’t dropped the ball.
