Cam Skattebo ruled out of the 2025 season

Cam Skattebo suffered a brutal right ankle injury in the Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The injury occurred on a second-quarter pass over the middle, when Skattebo was hit from behind while trying to catch a throw from Jaxson Dart.

The Giants’ running back landed awkwardly, resulting in a dislocated ankle, an open fracture of the lower leg and a ruptured ligament. Skattebo was rushed into emergency surgery in Philadelphia on the night of the game. Before the injury, he logged 617 scrimmage yards and seven total touchdowns. The Giants have already ruled him out for the rest of 2025.
