NFL followers react to Diego Pavia figuring out with Jon Gruden forward of 2026 NFL Draft

Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia has been in the limelight heading into this year’s NFL draft. On Thursday, former NFL coach Jon Gruden shared a video of himself working out with Pavia as the two were at South Florida’s indoor training facility.

When fans caught a glimpse of Pavia working out with Gruden, they had some interesting reactions.

Pavia began his collegiate career at New Mexico Military Institute in 2020. He transferred to New Mexico State in 2022 and played two years with the Aggies.

Pavia transferred to Vanderbilt ahead of the 2024 season and played two years with the Commodores. He finished as the Heisman Trophy runner-up in his final year at Vanderbilt.

Gruden won the Super Bowl as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach in 2003. He currently works as an analyst at Barstool Sports.

Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia only threw at the 2026 NFL combine

Diego Pavia only flaunted his passing range at the NFL combine on Saturday. He opted against taking part inthe 40-yard dash and the other physical drills.

According to reports, Pavia plans to save his athletic testing for Vanderbilt’s Pro Day on March 18.

Pavia is projected as a Day 3 pick in this year’s draft. However, some believe that he might not get drafted at all.
