NFL followers shade Joe Burrow-led Bengals as Trey Hendrickson arrives for Ravens OTAs in Owing Mills

The Baltimore Ravens started their offseason workouts on Monday, and a lot of eyes were on Trey Hendrickson. The veteran pass rusher signed a four-year deal worth up to $120 million on March 12, one day after Baltimore pulled out of the trade for Maxx Crosby.

Hendrickson, who spent the last five years with Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, is expected to provide an immediate boost to a defense that struggled to generate pressure, finishing with 30 sacks in 2025. With a track record that includes back-to-back 17.5-sack seasons, including a league-leading total in 2024, he could be what the Ravens need.

Hendrickson didn’t waste time putting in work. The four-time Pro Bowler trained at Under Armour Performance Center as the team opened its voluntary offseason program.

Fans dropped their reactions in the comments section, with many throwing shade at Hendrickson’s former team.

“He’s not used to having a state of the art facility, as well as good free meals! He’s going to go OFF. Lol,” one fan said.

“Fresh food, free snacks and parking, running water in the restrooms, clean towels no more sharing lockers anymore. Enjoy it, Trey,” another fan said.

Trey Hendrickson Finally seeing what a good facility looks like,” a fan tweeted.

“I’m sure he’s excited to get a team provided lunch here in a minute, that he isn’t charged for,” one fan wrote.

“Just wait till he sees he doesn’t need to pay for lunch or use a crossing guard to get to practice,” a fan commented.

“Trey Hendrickson arriving at Owings Mills and realizing he doesn’t need a crossing guard to get to the practice field,” another fan wrote.

Hendrickson is coming off an injury-plagued season. However, he was remarkably reliable before 2025, rarely missing games.

Lamar Jackson joined Trey Hendrickson during the Ravens’ first day of offseason workout

Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson were also present at the Baltimore Ravens‘ facility on Monday as the team opened its offseason workout program.

The quarterback’s attendance stood out, as he has faced criticism for skipping voluntary workouts. His presence this year points to a different approach heading into the 2026 season.

The Ravens are the first NFL team to begin offseason workouts, marking the start of a crucial period following a season that fell short of expectations. The first phase of Baltimore’s offseason program carries extra anticipation, as it’s the first time new Ravens coach Jesse Minter will work hands-on with the roster.

Jackson and Henry are expected to build rapport with Minter and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle ahead of the regular season.
