Hades 2 won best action game at The Game Awards 2025, beating Battlefield 6 among others. This may have left some fans of the EA game surprised, including former FPS pro and content creator Shroud. Michael Grzesiek was streaming The Game Awards 2025 live on December 11, 2025. The streamer fully expected BF6 to win the best action game title as he remarked:
“It’s Battlefield for sure right? No brainer?”
Within moments, Shroud realized that Battlefield 6 had, in fact, not won the award for the best action game. The award went to Hades 2, developed by Supergiant Games, which got a very strong reaction out of the veteran FPS player.
Shroud was surprised and disappointed as he was left cursing and disappointed by BF6’s loss at The Game Awards 2025. During his stream, as he witnessed the loss, he said:
“Bro, do we like, hate multiplayer games?”
Perhaps Shroud’s reaction was somewhat valid, given that he was seemingly convinced that Battlefield 6 had no competition in the category. He didn’t even believe that any other game stood a chance, as he remarked that the race for the award may not be close at all.
This is not the first time Shroud has predicted the wrong game as the winner of an award. During a recent and somewhat controversial stream, Shroud urged his followers not to let Expedition 33 win the Game of the Year award at The Game Awards 2025.

Shroud’s Multiplayer experience may lead him to favor Battlefield 6
Shroud rose to fame by playing and being good at Multiplayer FPS titles such as CS:Go. He has been a core part of the FPS community for a very long time and an ardent follower of the new Battlefield 6 title.
Being a big part of this specific gaming community may make him somewhat biased towards FPS games or just Multiplayer shooter titles in general, as seen in his recent previous takes. At one point, he was seen telling the community that multiplayer gamers are the minority group, for which there is no statistical evidence.
Overall, the creator was taken aback multiple times when multiplayer games didn’t win an award at The Game Awards 2025. However, the winners were still deserving titles worthy of recognition.
