Guimaraes, meanwhile, claimed a 3-1 friendly win over Saudi outfit Al Ahli. They were 3-0 up at the break, with Samu, Thiago Balieiro, and Maga scoring a goal each. Matheus Goncalves scored what proved to be a consolation strike in the 46th minute.
This will be Os Conquistadores’ final pre-season game before kick-starting their Primeira Liga campaign with Arouca’s visit in a fortnight. Forest still have a few friendlies to go to finalize preparations for the start of their Premier League campaign.
