AFC Toronto of the Northern Super League has teamed up with a local artist to pen a “love letter” to their city with their inaugural away kit.
The new away kit was unveiled last week, and it will likely be pressed into service for the first time on Saturday, April 27, when AFC Toronto visits Ottawa Rapid FC. It was created in collaboration with Toronto illustrator, poet and multimedia artist Erika Flores.
The base of the kit is white, with Flores’ illustration in light blue across the body and sleeves. The illustration depicts local landmarks and symbols—ranging from the CN Tower and Toronto City Hall to Canada geese and squirrels—and slogans like “Rise Up,” “Run It Our Way,” and “Yesterday Was Just Practice.” The jersey is anchored by a black crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs.
Every line, every detail tells a story. From the streetcars to the neighbourhoods, from iconic landmarks to the spirit that makes Toronto home. This isn’t just a jersey. It’s a tribute to the people who shape this city and the community that fuels us.

The illustration continues onto the back of the kit, where names and numbers are printed in black above the logo for sponsor Intact Insurance.
The crest on the front of the kit is rendered in black, white and dark grey, which is in contrast to the primary maroon-and-red version found on their home kits.
AFC Toronto opens their 2025 NSL regular season on Saturday, April 19, when they host Roses de Montréal FC at BMO Field. Subsequent home games will be held at York Lions Stadium.
