NTMR, Timeless, Team Liquid lead OCS NA Stage 1

NTMR, Timeless and Team Liquid are tied atop the standings for the Overwatch Champions Series’ North American Stage 1 after Week 3 victories on Saturday.

All three teams posted 3-0 sweeps, with NTMR taking down Shikigami, Timeless defeating Rad Esports and Team Liquid downing Amplify.

The $100,000 tournament, played online, features eight teams. The regular-season round robin will conclude Feb. 23, with six qualifying teams heading to the double-elimination regional playoffs.

The first-place team will take home $30,000, the second-place team will make $20,000 — and both will earn berths in the OCS’ Champions Clash.

On Saturday, NTMR opened with a 2-0 win on Nepal Control, followed up with a 135.88m- 67.33m victory on Esperanca Push and clinched the match 3-0 on Suravasa Flashpoint. American-Ecuadorian Xavier “zeruhh” Zambrano was selected the match MVP.

Timeless didn’t allow a point in its sweep, taking Lijiang Tower Control (2-0), Havana Escort (1-0) and Suravasa Flashpoint (3-0), with American-Bangladeshi Rupal “Rupal” Zaman earning MVP honors.

Team Liquid had a little tougher time in its sweep, winning 2-0 on Samoa Control before 3-2 victories on Route 66 Escort and Eichenwalde Hybrid. MVP honors were awarded to American Ryan “squid” Ruffell.
