The latest episode of WWE NXT didn’t prove to be a great night for the NXT Champion, Joe Hendry. The Scottish star was involved in a heated segment that ended with him being targeted by three major stars.
It all started with Ricky Saints making his entrance on the show, voicing his victory loudly last week against Hendry in a tag team bout. Saints recalled how his pairing with Ethan Page defeated two current NXT Champions. He asserted that now Page will challenge Myles Borne for the North American Championship, whereas he was heading towards becoming a two-time NXT Champion. Soon Page disrupted the segment and asserted that he was the one who pinned Joe Hendry in the tag team bout. As a result, he secured the right to challenge him for the NXT Championship.
Thanks for the submission!
This led to a heated argument between them before Hendry praised Page and mocked Ricky Saints for his recent failures. The 37-year-old suggested a match between Page and Saints to determine the next challenger for his title. Both the former AEW stars appeared to argue with each other, but quickly turned hostile toward Joe Hendry.
Hendry tried to make a comeback, but out of nowhere, a Spear from Tony D’Angelo took out three of them. The segment concluded with Tony standing tall and looking focused to become the next NXT Title holder.
WWE could be heading towards a massive match at NXT Stand & Deliver
With this development, it seems that WWE has big plans for the upcoming Stand & Deliver show. This year, it will be taking place on April 4, 2026, at The Factory at the District, St. Louis, Missouri.
Joe Hendry might put his title on the line against Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, and Tony D’Angelo in a Fatal Four-way bout. This multi-man match will allow WWE to make the bout unpredictable, with chances of a title switch.
