Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs kept their winning streak alive on Sunday. They improved to a 4-0 record after securing a 30-27 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. At halftime, Klint Kubiak and his team had a three-point lead over the Chiefs.
During the halftime interview with Tracy Wolfson, the Raiders coach expressed confidence about taking home the win.
Thanks for the submission!
“Gotta be better. But you know what? We’re winning. We’re gonna win the game,” Kubiak said.

After the final whistle, Patrick Mahomes‘ wife Brittany took a jab at Klint Kubiak in a social media post. She shared a series of photos of herself and her outfit while posing at the stadium. Brittany accompanied the post with Kubiak’s halftime comments in the caption, along with a chuckle emoji.
The Raiders have been impressive under Kubiak’s guidance, entering Sunday’s game undefeated. Despite a halftime lead, Patrick Mahomes and his team mounted an impressive fourth-quarter comeback.
The three-time Super Bowl champion found Tyquan Thornton for an eight-yard passing touchdown, putting the Chiefs ahead 17-13. Matt Gay scored two consecutive field goals to give the Raiders the lead again.
However, running back Kenneth Walker III came in clutch for the Chiefs. The Super Bowl LX champion, whom they brought in on a three-year, $45 million deal in March, scored two back-to-back touchdowns for a 30-19 lead.
Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins did find tight end Brock Bowers for a 20-yard passing TD with 1:46 left on the clock. However, it was not enough for them to make a comeback. He finished the game completing 31-of-52 passes for 365 yards, two TDs and one INT. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes completed 15-of-30 passes for 225 yards and two TDs.
Patrick Mahomes shares his thoughts on Kirk Cousins influence on Fernando Mendoza’s development after Sunday’s victory over the Raiders
In the postgame presser, Patrick Mahomes took some time to share his thoughts on the Raiders’ quarterback room.
The three-time Super Bowl champion had high praise for Kirk Cousins and highlighted his relationship with rookie Fernando Mendoza, whom the Raiders drafted first overall this year.
“It’s gonna do a lot of great things for him,” Mahomes said. “Kirk is a true pro, like a quarterback and knows how to run the court of the room, the team and everything.
“It’ll be great for Fernando to learn and just take it in. Because you don’t know until you’re in the NFL. Hopefully not too much. It went really well for me and Alex (Smith). Hopefully maybe not that much unless I’m gone or something like that.”
The Raiders signed Kirk Cousins to a five-year, $172 million deal in April and named him the starter this season. Before Sunday’s game, he posted 661 yards and nine TDs passing. Fernando Mendoza has yet to take a regular-season snap.
