This will help. Today, Pinterest has launched its second annual “Pinterest Palette” report, which provides an overview of key color trends in the app, based on research conducted for its Pinterest Predicts trends listing.
As explained by Pinterest:
“The Pinterest Palette offers marketers inspiration driven by what over half a billion Pinners are searching, saving, and shopping for each month. Our in-house creative and insights teams worked hand-in-hand to map Pinterest Predicts trends and color clusters against first-party platform Pin color data. Looking at actions like saves, we were able to see which colors are driving engagement over time.”
The report identifies the colors most likely to resonate with audiences this year, which Pinterest’s team has narrowed down to five key hues.
Each color gets its own overview, which includes Pin examples, hex codes, and a listing of tags related to that shade.
It’s a good-looking report, which likely means that Pinterest has got the colors right, and they do feel fresh and vibrant, even if a bit Christmas-y.
“Brands can tap into the colors shaping the year ahead for mood boards, product launches, or creative campaigns. For example, health-focused condiment brand Primal Kitchen referenced Pinterest Predicts and the Pinterest Palette for their Colorful Kitchen Tour last year. Fusing the 2024 Pinterest Palette with their core brand colors, Primal Kitchen launched new dipping sauces with Predicts-inspired “Kitschens” pop-ups in three major cities.”
That’s one way that you can use this insight, while it might also give you the spark of inspiration you need to refresh your branding efforts for the year ahead, with trending color tones that align with your audience.
