The recently announced Minecraft Fall Drop 2026 will feature a new Poplar wood set. This wood set comes with new Poplar trees that will generate in the new Dappled Forest biome. During the livestream, fans got to see how they looked in the game.

What does new Poplar wood set look like in Minecraft Fall Drop 2026
Mojang has added loads of new wood sets in the game so far. In early 2022, there were only eight wood sets in the game, including warped and crimson from the Nether.
In April 2022, developers added Mangrove Trees and a new wood set with The Wild Update. Then arrived the cherry trees with a new cherry wood set. Even bamboo received new blocks that looked like regular wood block sets. Lastly, pale oak was added in 2024.
In the upcoming Minecraft Fall Drop 2026, developers will add the brand-new Poplar wood set. When showcasing the wood set in Minecraft Live May 2026, they talked about how similar it looked to pale oak set wood.
When looking at the picture above, it is clear that the new wood set is a darker and warmer variant of pale oak wood. It is worth mentioning that the shadows and lighting in this particular frame make the new wood blocks look a lot darker. This means that lighting will play a major role in how similar or different the new wood set looks to pale oak.
Where to find Poplar wood in Minecraft Fall Drop 2026
The new Poplar wood set can be obtained by first finding the new Dappled Forest biome, which was also announced in the Minecraft Live May 2026. This new forest biome will generate in cold regions of the Overworld and will feature stunning Poplar trees that will have dark grayish-brown trunks and bright red, orange, or yellow leaves.
Like any other tree, they can be chopped to obtain wood logs, which can later be crafted into other new wood blocks.
