Popular AEW star fires brutal pictures at Drew McIntyre

WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre suffered a massive setback last week on Friday Night SmackDown. The Scottish Warrior lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes.

The American Nightmare’s brother and AEW star Dustin Rhodes mocked McIntyre on social media. The former Goldust recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to ask fans who their current favorite pro wrestler was. He further noted that his favorite was Steve Strickland.

A user replied to Rhodes’ tweet, disclosing Drew McIntyre, Penta, Dominik Mysterio, Asuka, and Raquel Rodríguez as his favorites. In response, the former AEW TNT Champion noted that McIntyre sucked.

“Drew sucks,” Rhodes wrote.

As the Undisputed WWE Champion, McIntyre looked all set to defend his title against 2026 Men’s Elimination Chamber winner Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42. However, losing the gold to The American Nightmare has put his appearance on The Grandest Stage of Them All in jeopardy. The 40-year-old is reportedly set to wrestle Jacob Fatu in Las Vegas at The Show of Shows.

Popular WWE Superstar reacted to praise from Drew McIntyre

Former NXT Champion Trick Williams has had an impressive start to his main roster career. He was involved in an in-ring segment with McIntyre on the February 6 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. In an interview after their face-off, the Scotsman praised the 31-year-old.

Trick Williams was asked about McIntyre’s comments during his appearance on the Battleground podcast. The Anointed One lauded the former WWE Champion back and noted that he held Drew’s praise in high regard. However, Williams added that he was hungry and wanted McIntyre’s spot.

“When they walk, you know, through the airport, people turn their head and look and see who is that. Drew McIntyre is one of those guys for sure. So I take that praise, you know, very seriously. But I got to make it come to fruition. I got to work. I got to do my part, and I’m grinding. I’m grinding every single day. Like, I’m after it. I’m hungry. You know what I mean? I appreciate it, Drew, but at the same time, I want your spot. So don’t get it twisted,” he said. [H/T: PWMania]
